Gimo Herrgard
Gimo Herrgård was the first manor house built in Sweden during the Gustav III era. It was designed by Jean Eric Rehn who lived and studied in France for several years in the mid‐18th century. Inspired by the great French castles like the Versailles, construction began in the 1750's, but it was not finished until almost 30 years later.
Today Gimo Herrgård is a grand four star hotel with 62 rooms and suites recently refurbished and renovated to accommodate the modern hotel guest who appreciate the finer things in life. The grand parks, the Gimo Lake and the surrounding forests make Gimo Herrgård a perfect destination for both private getaways and corporate functions.
We are fortunate to be in this unique setting and to prove our commitment to the environment both the hotel and restaurants are certified by Svanen – the Nordic ecolabel.
